What we do and how we are different from the council
We deliver a wide range of bespoke housing services to 1189 homes across Clapton Park, Nye Bevan and Millfields Estates.
Our services include:
Our residents can raise day-to-day repairs directly to us. You can report a repair online or by calling us on 020 8356 6300.
Arman and Nigel our two Maintenance operatives currently carry out 70% of the repair works in our estates. We aim to ensure these repair jobs are carried out quickly and ideally on the first visit.
Some jobs involve a little more work and will have to be passed on to Hackney Council or one of our contractors, we’ll notify you about who will be attending and when.
More details of what repairs fall under our remit can be found on the repairs page.
We renovate empty properties to get them ready for our new tenants.
Large scale repair and renovation work over £10,000 is the responsibility of Hackney Council.
Although we manage the housing services, all residents remain tenants or leaseholders of Hackney Council and continue to pay rent and leaseholder charges directly to theCouncil.
Our Housing Services team are responsible for chasing up any rent debt owing to the Council. If you’re struggling to pay your rent and would like some advice please contact your Housing Officer. For details on who your Housing Officer is and how to get in touch visit ‘My Block’ page. (Provide link)
Properties are allocated and let by the Council but we can welcome new tenants to the neighbourhood and explain how the TMO works and the benefits for tenants.
We manage the cleaning of communal and outside areas across the estates. This includes grass and green areas, communal entrances and car parks.
Our specialist Clean Team ensures that we have cleaners for every area, they work between 7am-5pm every weekday and are scheduled in each block/street property. Our clean team not only clean – but also get involved with painting our blocks.
We also have a schedule for jet-washing for more intense cleaning and unlike the Council, we provide a free bulk service to all residents of Clapton Park, Nye Bevan and Millfields Estate. To book a free bulky refuse collection:
Clapton Park is known nationally as the ‘Poppy Estate’. During the spring and summer months our neighbourhood comes alive with poppies and other colourful flowers, plants and herbs providing an important habitat for bugs and wildlife.
Our grounds maintenance contractors the GrassRoof Company have been involved with the green spaces on Clapton Park since 2001. Along with our residents they have over built over 9 allotments, planted over 250 fruit trees and created 300m of wild flower / poppy railing edges.

Our Housing office in Gilpin Square is open Monday to Friday for residents to pop in with any tenancy queries.
We work to ensure tenants are happy in their home and that neighbourhood services are run smoothly.
